No. Your automobile policy only covers the vehicle and its equipment. You should report this to your home, condominium or tenant insurers.
Is mechanical breakdown or wear and tear covered?
No. You are responsible to maintain your property or automobile.The insurance policy is not a maintenance contract.
Does my deductible apply when I am not at fault for an accident?
The only time that your deductible does not apply is when the responsible person's insurance company commits to pay the deductible on your behalf.
